First things first: Inbound Marketing Strategists consists primarily of one person – me – Donna D. Fontenot, aka DazzlinDonna. I do, however, have a group of trusted colleagues from various other companies that I can call on to help as needed. This group of people comes from the best of the best online marketing companies all around the world. Each has proven their worth, not only to me personally, but to the online marketing industry overall. Rather than competing with each other, we help each other grow by combining our talents and resources as needed.
In most circumstances, I will personally be training you and your staff, and the strategies provided will come directly from me, so allow me to tell you more about myself, so you know who you’ll be working with.
I graduated from Louisiana State University, with an English Education degree, but my love of computers led me away from a teaching career. Eventually, I began merging my various skills together: writing skills, geeky skills, and marketing know-how (which I obtained over the years through seat-of-the-pants learning), into that of an online marketer. I learned that creating compelling content, and utilizing SEO and social media networking to promote that content, was a great way to create an ebusiness that would allow me to make a living online. Over the years, as I shared my knowledge via forums and blogs, I realized that my teaching credentials weren’t wasted. I could combine all of that knowledge, and help other people achieve success as well.
I do that in several ways.
- I’m an eBusiness Coach, primarily focused on helping individuals transition from working in a cubicle type of j.o.b., into working from home with an online business. I also coach small businesses who need help getting online for the first time, and I coach them through that process.
- I freely share thoughts and ideas on my blog, including tips for content creation, blogging, affiliate marketing, WordPress, and revenue generation.
- I participate in online communities, and even moderate some online marketing forums such as the one at the excellent Cre8asite Forums, founded by the usability expert, Kim Krause Berg.
I’ve not only learned from my own experiences, but I’ve acquired knowledge and skills taught by others. For example, I’ve been certified as an Inbound Marketing Professional by the Inbound Marketing University. Below is a certification badge and certificate verifying my credentials.
